When creating a logo for his work, Arlo aimed to capture his identity as a graphic designer and an illustrator. He envisioned a logo resembling an artist's signature, serving a dual purpose.

Arlo focused on simplicity when designing this logo/signature. He decided to use only one color and limited the iconography to elements derived from the letters in his name. He drew inspiration from other stamp-like artist signatures that he admires. Arlo began the design process by sketching out his name and experimenting with the style and shape of the letters.

After playing with different arrangements, he selected a composition that he liked. He then scanned the sketch and imported it into Illustrator, where he traced it to create a vector version. Once he had vectorized the characters, he manipulated the shapes to his satisfaction and arranged them into a balanced composition.
